I know what a convenience store smells like at two in the morning. I know the taste of fries after school. I know what it's like to laugh so hard your drink comes out of your nose. I know what it's like to stay up all night texting somebody you thought you'd love forever. I know what it's like to lose that person too

Were never kids
They were always grown-ups
Always the ones teaching everyone else what normal means
